MONDAY CRAFT: Handprint Rocketship

Space Craft - Handprint Rocketship (or footprint)

*If you are doing this with a baby less than a year we recommend doing a footprint, as baby handprints are challenging

  1. Gather up your supplies, paint, paint brushes, paper and marker

  2. Paint the palm of the hand whatever color you would like your rocketship

  3. Paint the fingers (or toes) red and orange, they will be the flames

  4. Stamp print on the paper and wait for it to dry for a few minutes

  5. Draw the wings and tip of the rocketship, window and any other designs

WEDNESDAY SNACK: Planet Protein Balls

Space Snack - Planet Protein Balls

1 large jar (40 oz) of peanut butter.

2 cups of quick oats

1 cup of honey (agave works too)

2 scoops of vanilla protein powder of your choice

1/4 cup mini chocolate chips

Combine all ingredients and mix well. The consistency should be like firm cookie dough and not stick to the sides of your bowl. If yours is not, add more oats and/or protein powder. Next, roll into 1 to 2 inch balls and place on parchment paper. Freeze for one hour then transfer into a Ziploc or air tight container. That’s it! Additional add-ins: coconut, raisins, pb chips, flax or chia seeds. This makes about 40 balls. So easy even your kids can make them!

FRIDAY ACTIVITY: Zoom Zoom Zoom!

Zoom Zoom Zoom!

Blow up 5-10 balloons and let the kiddos throw them in the air and kick them around while listening to songs like Zoom Zoom Zoom We’re Going to the Moon by the Kaboomers.

Bonus! If you are looking for a special activity, keep kiddos up a little late tonight. Take them outside and turn off the lights, or head to your neighborhood park with a blanket and...look up! Talk about what you see, you might even catch a shooting star!
